1. OPENING. The meeting was called to order at 12:50 PM by the President, Bob Reed. There were 12 members present and four guests, Jonathan Bebee, David Paul, Thomas Bebee and John Mitchell.
2. MINUTES: Minutes of the meeting of November 3 were read and accepted.
3. TREASURER’S REPORT: Balance $726.09 with $15.58 expenses and $25 deposits.
4. COMMITTEE REPORTS:
A. NOMINATION: There was no slate of officers to present to membership, Nominations were taken from the floor to fill the positions of President, vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Membership Officer. Results are: President: Bob Reed, Vice-President: Clinton Boyle, Treasurer: Debbie Reed, Membership Officer: Top Newby. The position of Secretary was not filled and remain vacant at this time.
B. MEMBERSHIP: Membership officer was not present. Dues of $10 was collected from members present. Dues of $10 can be mailed to Top Newby, 10676 Sun Up Court, Milton, FL 32583. Dues are now payable February of each year.
C. FINANCE: NONE
D. CONVENTION: NONE
E. WEBSITE REPORT: New webmaster is Joey Reed. The website is: HTTP://WWW.DEEPSOUTHCHIPCLUB.COM, Any articles of interest may be sent to the Webmaster. The website will take the place of the newsletter, since all information in newsletter except articles has always been on the website.
5. OLD BUSINESS:
A. Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws of the club have been published. After corrections to add Membership Officer and his responsibilities.
6. NEW BUSINESS: Election of officers: See nomination committee report. Website. See website report. Membership in national club was discussed, no action taken.
7. DOOR PRIZEDS: The following won door prizes: There were plenty of donated door prizes donated by Clinton Boyle and Everett Sorrells. Everyone present received a prize with several left over for next meetings.
8. 50/50 DRAWING: John Mitchell won the 50/50 Drawing, $25 split for him and club.
9. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Next meeting is 17 May 2008, 12:30 PM at the Island View Casino in Gulfport. Other dates for remainder of year are: 16 Aug and 1 Nov.
10. ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:45 PM. Most members remained for continued trading session lasted until 3:30 PM.
